Model projects 8.6 runs against a 6.5 total, 11% EV with both offenses hitting.

The Card

World Series Game 2 is the entire slate Wednesday night. Milwaukee leads 1-0 after taking Game 1 in Tampa, 6-4. The Brewers have won four of the last five meetings overall, outscoring the Rays 28-16 in that stretch. Both clubs bring 100-win pedigrees, but our model sees offense tonight where the market doesn't.

The total opened 6.5 and hasn't budged. Books are implying a tight, low-scoring affair — 53.5% chance of going over. Our projection: 8.6 runs. That's a 2.1-run gap, translating to 59% model probability and 11% EV on the over. The moneyline and spread hold little value, but the RBI props are mispriced. Books are underrating both lineups in a matchup where recent history suggests runs will come.

Over 6.5

Model: 8.6 runs | Line: 6.5 | Model prob: 59.4% | Implied: 53.5% | EV: 11%

Milwaukee projects for 4.6 runs, Tampa 4.0. The Brewers just hung six on Tampa in Game 1 and averaged 5.6 per game in the four meetings they won. The Rays scored seven against Cleveland in their last home game before the series shifted. Both offenses are clicking, and the books haven't adjusted the total to reflect it.

Recent results scream over. Five head-to-head games this month: 6-4, 3-2, 5-4, 10-1, 4-3 in extras. Four of five cleared 6.5, and the one that didn't (3-2) required 12 innings to stay under. The model's 8.6 projection sits comfortably in the middle of that range. No major injuries to either lineup — Junior Caminero is day-to-day for Tampa but expected to play, and Shane McClanahan's absence doesn't affect tonight's bullpen availability.

Best odds: -115 at Barstool. Straight value, no need to shop further.

Jonathan Aranda Over 0.5 RBI

Model: 0.58 RBI | Line: 0.5 | Model prob: 29.3% | Implied: 22.8% | EV: 28%

Tampa's first baseman is priced like he's due for a quiet night. The model disagrees. Aranda projects for 0.58 RBI in a Rays lineup the model expects to score 4 runs. He's hitting in the heart of the order, and the matchup sets up well for him to cash even in a loss.

Form is noisy but directional. Aranda is 0-for-5 on RBI in his last five games — a cold streak that's probably baking into this +338 price. But zoom out: 20% hit rate over his last 10 games (2-for-10), 25% over 20 (5-for-20). The model's 29% win probability on this prop suggests the books are giving too much weight to the recent 0-fer. In the one head-to-head game this month where we have RBI data, Aranda went over.

Best odds: +338 at DraftKings. Small bet at plus-money, 28% EV is elite tier for a prop with this much variance.

Christian Yelich Over 0.5 RBI

Model: 0.69 RBI | Line: 0.5 | Model prob: 34.4% | Implied: 28.2% | EV: 22%

Yelich has been Milwaukee's most consistent run producer in the postseason, and the model projects him for 0.69 RBI — the highest of any Brewer on the card. At +254, the books are offering 28.2% implied probability. Our model says 34.4%. That's a 6-point edge and 22% expected value.

Hit rates are steady: 40% over his last 5, 10, and 20 games. Yelich went 2-for-5 with an RBI in his last 5 appearances, including a 1-RBI performance two games ago. In the four head-to-head matchups this month where we have data, he cashed 40% of the time (same as his season rate). He's not streaking hot, but he's not cold either — just reliably productive.

The DH role keeps him in the lineup without defensive fatigue. Milwaukee projects for 4.6 runs, and Yelich is their best bet to drive one or two home. Line moved up slightly, suggesting some sharp action, but +254 is still available.

Best odds: +254 at DraftKings. Solid confidence, clean EV play.

Liam Hicks Over 0.5 RBI

Model: 0.56 RBI | Line: 0.5 | Model prob: 29.8% | Implied: 24.1% | EV: 24%

Hicks is Tampa's catcher and the least-known name on this card, which makes the +315 price even more interesting. The model projects 0.56 RBI in a projected 4-run Rays output, translating to 30% win probability against a 24% implied line. That's 24% EV — elite tier.

Recent form is volatile but promising. Hicks went 3-for-5 over his last 5 games, with RBI totals of 0, 2, 2, 0, 1. That's a 60% hit rate over L5, cooling to 40% over L10 and 35% over L20. The model averages 0.7 RBI per game over his last 10, well above the 0.5 line. He's currently on a 1-game under streak, which might be suppressing the price.

Head-to-head: 30% hit rate in the Milwaukee series (likely 1-for-3 or 2-for-6 based on the sample). The variance here is real — catchers often hit lower in the order and see fewer RBI chances. But at +315, we only need him to cash 24% of the time to break even. The model says he'll do it 30% of the time.

Best odds: +315 at DraftKings. Lean confidence, best as a small sprinkle or parlay piece.

How We'd Play It

Straight bets on the Over 6.5 and Yelich Over 0.5 RBI. Both are strong-confidence plays with double-digit EV and clean recent form. Over gets the most size — it's the sharpest edge on the card, and totals are less volatile than props.

Aranda and Hicks are lower-confidence but high-EV. We'd bet them smaller as straight plays or combine them in a 2- or 3-leg parlay with the over. A $10 parlay on Over + Yelich + Aranda pays roughly $90 at those odds — acceptable risk for a one-game slate where all three fit the same narrative (more offense than the market expects).

Pass conditions: If the total moves to 7 or higher, the over loses value fast. If Caminero is scratched and the Rays adjust their lineup card significantly, reassess Aranda and Hicks. If Yelich drops in the batting order (unlikely but check lineups an hour before first pitch), his RBI prop becomes a fade. Otherwise, this is a clean card where the model and market diverge enough to bet with confidence.
